Creative overload at Offset 2015

And so another year of Offset and another year of amazing talent, insightful observations and creative downloading. The 3 day creative conference OFFSET ran for a fifth year. The line-up included designers, animators, illustrators and artists from all over the globe.

Irish based Glaswegian illustrator Steve Doogan took the stage on Saturday and impressed the audience with his varied illustration styles and humorous observational pranks.

One of our favourites this year had to be the legend Tomi Ungerer. The graphic artist and author received a standing ovation for a conversation with illustrator Steve Simpson. He covered many parts of his life from his childhood, his work and even his experience of Nazi occupation in France. He has published over 140 books, from children’s literature to erotica. He read a few pages from his new children’s book Fog Island. It was a treat to hear him recite the passages and it revealed him as a true storyteller.
