This self-promotional piece was born out of a recent studio move to the bustling Thomas Street area of Dublin 8. We wanted to capture the spirit of the street, themed around a message of Christmas to all our clients and friends and wrap it into a flowing animated video, end-framing on our new building location. An interesting and fun part of the project was casting a local voice-over artist who sounded the part and fitting with the feel of the street traders working in the area. We created our poetry piece in-house and also hand-illustrated the video titles, buildings & people, which led to subsequent window graphics that were applied to the studio frontage. We created greeting cards with message and direct email delivery as well as deployment through Social Media.
Over 1.5million people walk up Thomas Street every year to get to the Guinness Storehouse & Factory. So we started our visual journey there and worked our way back to our studio at No.76 with graphic milestones along the way. The style is cut-out and monotone which lets the voice talent and city sounds become a little more engaging. The mood is light and warm with hints of rich historical meaning and tradition i.e. church goers milling from pub to pew for midnight mass.
