BFree is a global provider of top quality, wheat-free bakery products, with an emphasis on health and flavour. It’s available through retail outlets and from the website, for ‘anyone wanting to eat healthily and avoid allergens’.
Our brief was to simplify and optimise the site to showcase the full range and encourage cross-selling, while attracting and holding new customers. It had to be easy to understand and navigate for non-native English speakers, without being patronising.

We treated BFree as a culture in its own right, letting visuals and branding do the talking. We created a freshness and appetite appeal that brings the visitor ‘so close they can smell the products’. Consumers are encouraged to sample through recipe ideas and ‘Bundling’ offers, which quickly led to a sales surge.
Since the new and refreshed BFree Foods website was relaunched in 2020, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive across the board. From internal stakeholders to our customer service team, everyone is delighted and very excited with the fresh look and feel that team Open have designed for BFree. Importantly, all indications are that this view is also reflected in consumer response and sales.
